Issues

Far too many people are killed or seriously injured while working on the land. One person each week is killed in the UK in agriculture or horticulture.

Many farms have been ruined by deaths, and many people on the land have to work with existing conditions, such as backpain. About 80 % of people have complained that at some time they suffer from Musculo Skeletal Disorders (MSD)

Tasks

1. Look at three some sample accidents (HSE Videos) or (HSE Case Studies)
2. Identify the category the accident belongs to.. ..
3. Explain the costs of the accident to both the employee and employer. (Give a few headings)
