Inspections 1.5. Know how to carry out a workplace/farm inspection and, where appropriate, report findings to management Issues: Inspections are one way to ensure proper maintenance of health and safety procdures and check that they are working. There are legal rights for union appointed or employee representative safety reps to carry out an inspection. These indicate what an independent inspection in agreement with employer need to carry out the job properly.
